XHF-05 Martindale abrasion and pilling tester meet many test standards, GB/T4802.2, ISO5470, IWS TM112/196, DIN53863/53865, BS3424/5690, BS EN 388/530, JIS L1096, ASTM D4966/4970 , ISO17079-2, ISO 12947, ISO17704, ISO 20344 and so on

it can be divided into abrasion test and pilling test, it will draw big Lissa-jous trajectory for abrasion test and small  Lissa-jous trajectory for pilling test.

ISO 12947-2 abrasion test and ISO 12945-2 pilling tester is most common test standard.

ISO 12947-2 Abrasion test:

Specimen: Ф38mmm (If fabric specimen gsm weight is less than 500g/m2, use foam, if fabric specimen gsm weight is more than 500g/m2 , do not use foam)

Wool Abradant Fabric: Ф140mm (recommend use SDC brand or James-heal Wool Abradant Fabric)

Foam: Ф38mm (recommend use SDC brand or James-heal foam)

Wool Abrdant Felt: Ф140mm (recommend use SDC brand or James-heal Wool Abrdant Felt )

Test Process:

1. Put specimen on the upper Ф38mm clamp fixture-Put Foam or not put foam- tighten specimen.

2. Put Felt on the abrasion table-Put abradant on the abrasion table- Use hammer flatten abradant, use clamp to fix the abradant.

3.  Put 12Kpa weight

4. Finish test circles among 1600, 3200, 6400, 12800, 25600, 38400, 51200, use big Lissa-jous trajectory.

5. Remove the specimen from the abrasion table and view the test results.

ISO 12945-2 Pilling Test

Specimen: Ф140mm

Wool Abradant Fabric: Ф140mm (recommend use SDC brand or James-heal Wool Abradant Fabric)

Wool Abrdant Felt: Ф140mm and Ф90mm (recommend use SDC brand or James-heal Wool Abrdant Felt )

Test Process:

1. Put Ф140mm felt-Put Ф 140mm specimen or Ф 140mm abradant fabric on the abrasion table- Use hammer flatten specimen- fix it.

2. Put Ф90mm felt on the upper clamp- put Ф140mm specimen on the upper clamp.

3. Use 155g or 415g total weight

4. Set their required test circles

5. Remove the specimen from the abrasion table and view the test results
